How to Bridge assets
The Partisia Blockchain (PBC) allows anyone to easily transfer their own assets from other blockchains into PBC and back. This is natively supported by Koala Wallet. To bridge assets, open your Partisia wallet in Koala Wallet, then press the Bridge button.
Select the account from where you will be sending the asset, then select which coin or token in that account will be sent. Finally select the Partisia account where the bridged assets will be sent to.
This process may take up to a few minutes depending on the activity level of the bridge. As compensation to the service provided by nodes, they keep 0.1% of all assets being bridged each way. For example, if you bridge 1 ETH, then 0.999 ETH is transferred and 0.001 ETH is paid to the oracle nodes. Koala Wallet itself doesn't charge or keep any of this value.
Bridge in:
Select a wallet of one of the supported assets (ETH, MATIC, Ethereum USDT and so on) as the source, and your Partisia wallet as the destination. This will bridge the selected asset into your Partisia wallet.
Withdraw out:
Select your Partisia wallet and the desired asset as the source, then the equivalent asset as the destination (for example Partisia USDT to Ethereum USDT). The asset will be removed from the partisia blockchain and converted back to the other blockchain.
Paying for gas
Unlike Ethereum, where gas is priced in ETH and fees for regular transactions are paid with ETH, Partisia gas is priced in dollars, and can be paid with several different assets. The order in which assets are used to pay for gas fees is ETH → USDC (Polygon) → BNB (currently not supported by Koala) → MATIC → USDT (Ethereum). For example, if you have ETH and MATIC available to use for gas payments, ETH will be used first. MATIC will start being used after you're out of ETH.
By going to the BYOC tab in your Partisia wallet you can see your account's gas balance for each of those assets, and how much gas they can pay. A normal transaction uses between 10,000 and 20,000 gas (or $0.10 and $0.20)
