Even if you've used Koala Wallet for a while, there may be shortcuts or features that you didn't know exist. We'll go through some of them below:
Persistent Browser Extension
When you navigate out of browser extension popups, they are automatically closed by your browser. If you are doing operations with your wallet that involve multiple windows, open the extension on its own tab by pressing the button on the top right corner of the main screen. This will prevent it from closing as you move from one window to the next.
Send Dollar amount
Instead of entering the amount of an asset to send, you can directly enter the equivalent Dollar value and let Koala figure out how the equivalent number of coins. Tap the asset symbol to switch between setting the asset amount and the equivalent Dollar value.
Refresh balances
For several reasons your device may lose connection to our servers and show an outdated balance. To force a balance refresh on mobile, swipe down on the main screen of your wallet.
For computers that don't have touch interface, the Browser Extension has a dedicated button near your balance to perform a refresh.
Refresh transactions
Likewise, you can force a refresh of the transactions of a certain asset by swiping down inside that asset's wallet.
Hide balances
For privacy when you want to show off your wallet to others or check transactions on a crowded place, you can hide your balances and transaction values by pressing the "eye" icon above your total balance on the main screen.
Fast scan
You can scan QR codes directly from the main screen. If the QR code also encodes the asset type, Koala Wallet will automatically send from that exact asset. No need to open the asset's wallet and press "send". It can even warn you if you appear to be sending the wrong asset than what's encoded on the QR code. Koala Wallet always encodes the type on each asset's "receive" screen, and can also encode the chain and amount you want to receive.
