After scanning a QR code to send coins or tokens, you may get a warning message that says "The QR code you scanned refers to a different asset. Please ensure you are sending the correct asset to avoid loss of funds".
QR codes can contain much more than just the destination address. This error message means the QR code you scanned explicitly says that it's meant to receive an asset different than the one you are sending. For example the QR can say it's meant to receive FLUX tokens while you are sending KDS tokens.
The address itself is valid, so it's possible to ignore the warning and continue sending. However, it's not guaranteed that the receiver will detect your deposit. We recommend that you contact the receiver to confirm they accept the asset you're sending and on the blockchain you're using.
You will see that your address in Koala Wallet is the same for all Kadena tokens, so it's safe to receive any Kadena asset into it. Likewise, your Ethereum address can receive any token on the Ethereum blockchain. However, when sending to addresses you don't control, specially when sending to an exchange, that may not be the case.
